Create Campaign

There are 4 steps in the campaign creation process:

  1. Budget & Limits
  2. Targeting
  3. Micro Targeting
  4. Creatives

Let’s explore each of these features in more detail.

Budget & Limits

Here you can set up your Total budget, Daily budget, Default CPC or CPV (CPM will be calculated) and Daily budget spend type

In this section below, you can set additional campaign restrictions:

  • Frequency cap – Frequency of showing your ad to one user within 24 hours
  • Total Clicks per day – The total number of clicks for your campaign.
  • Conversions per day – The total number of conversions is convenient if you have CAP per offer. This way you can be sure that you will not make more conversions than you are allowed during the day.
Frequency cap

By utilizing these campaign restrictions, you can fine-tune your advertising efforts and maintain better control over key metrics such as ad frequency, clicks, and conversions.

For your convenience, on the right side, in the “Summary” window, you can see all the parameters you have configured.

Summary

“App,” “Site,” and “Extensions.”

For Pop campaigns, ActiveRevenue offers three traffic types: “App,” “Site,” and “Extensions.”

“App”: Designed for traffic derived exclusively from mobile phone browsers like Twitter browser, Android browser, Apple browser, Miui Browser, and more.

“Site”: Suited for regular browsers found on both mobile and desktop devices, including Chrome, IE, Firefox, Edge, and others.

“Extensions”: is for desktop traffic originating from extensions installed on users’ computers. It is recommended to use this option with a domain whitelist of your preferred domains.

Targeting

With ActiveRevenue, you can optimize your advertising by using precise targeting options such as Geo, Operating Systems, Browsers, Device Types, Carrier Targeting, Time Targeting, and Device Brands. These features enable you to reach your desired audience effectively based on their location, device preferences, and browsing habits.

Targeting

Notice: you can set up a certain percentage of traffic for a device or operating system.

Micro Targeting

At this step, you can configure targeting by Domain list, IP ranges, and Source list

In the same step, you can add keywords for Pop, Floating Push and Zero-Click campaigns.

When adding a White/Blacklist for sources, consider the following:

Source ID / {source_subid} – should be added with a dot at the beginning. E.g: .123456

Publisher ID / {pubfeed} / {source} – should be added, as it is, without any additional value.

Select Publisher Categories:

Utilize the “Publisher Categories” option to choose the domain categories from which you want to receive relevant traffic for your offers.

Available for: Pop and Floating (In-page) Push campaigns.

Creatives

The final step is managing your campaign creatives. A few tips at this stage

  • One campaign – several creatives/ads. Add at least 3-5 ads to the same campaign to test. Engage your TA with ads that specifically target your users.
  • ActiveRevenue empowers you to add multiple links per campaign, allowing you to run multiple offers within a single campaign. This feature enables you to conduct split testing without the need for an external tracker.
  • ActiveRevenue offers the convenient option to use macros for precise audience targeting. Apply your landing page link and choose the relevant tracking macros.

II. Optimizing Your Campaign:

ActiveRevenue provides several optimization features to enhance your campaign’s performance. Take advantage of the following functionalities:

Auto Bid Optimization

Enable the auto bid optimization feature to automatically adjust your bids based on earnings per click for push traffic or per impression for zero-click and pop traffic. Set your maximum bid, and the system will raise or lower the bids accordingly.

The system raises bids for sources that have a low view-through rate (VTR) and conversely lowers bids for sources with high VTR but no conversions.

Auto Blacklist

Auto Blacklist

If you have implemented ActiveRevenue’s postback pixel for performance tracking, you can enable the auto blacklist feature. This feature automatically blacklists any sources that exceed your CPA goal without generating conversions.

Note: Both the auto bid optimization and auto blacklist features should only be enabled when the postback pixel is implemented for accurate performance tracking.
